Your wedding reception should be a spectacular occasion that is filled with fun. Focus more on making sure that everyone has a great time than on how much you spend for it to happen. Think about your guests for a moment – what things will they want to do? For example if you have tons of great dancers attending then you want to have a theme that allows them to enjoy it.
Why not consider a 50’s sock hop for the reception? They can have a great time dancing to the oldies and that type of music seems to get everyone into the act. You can get a live band to play them or a DJ with all of the hits from that particular era. To get people to pair up if you have lots of singles attending, assign seating and mix them around so that they will be more likely to meet up with each other.
If you have children that will be attending the wedding you can go with a theme that they will enjoy as well. Disney and even the princess themes work well for a wedding reception, and you will have no trouble finding lots of decorations you can use to customize the look to fit what you are after. You can even give these children some of the decorations at the end of the night if you wish.
